yup.
DeleteHi D'Ann, I just googled me some roper boots. Now the only thing missing is a cowboy to go in them. Have a great weekend! :)
ReplyDeleteLOL. Have a good weekend, too.
DeleteTotally agree about the roper boots, and gotta love those big pickup trucks with the great big dually wheels.

Love Ropers! Wish they still made 'em.
DeleteI always find these so darn hard because I have no cowboys walking down the street here in London!! Muscles? Is that too general :). Bunching, tight muscles...whew!
ReplyDeleteOh, Cait. No cowboys? Darn for you.
Delete..and don't forget those Wrangler Butts! :)
ReplyDeleteyup, yup, yup!
DeleteExactly, Kristina. The cowboy rear ends.
ReplyDelete(holley at holleytrent dot com)
Kristi has it right!
DeleteWhat did you leave out?
ReplyDeleteI grew up on the rodeo circuit.
My Daddy was a calf roper and a team roper.
He would always tell me:
"Cowboys are fun to play with you just do not marry them."
Obviously this wisdom was not imparted to my mother!
She cut her Cowboy out of the herd and roped him into a lifelong partner.
I like to play, who doesn't?

Nice list!
DeleteNo question about it, the West has been romanticized since the 1800's. The penny dreadfuls started the trend to glamorizing the West and we've never stopped loving the stories and the lore.
ReplyDeleteYou bet!
DeleteCowboys work hard, play hard, live hard, love hard. Behind their tough, hard-as-nails exterior pulses a tender soul that only a few special people get to see. They treat their women like ladies, except in the bedroom, where they appreciate the wildcat she is. They fight to the death to protect the people and the things they love. And those Wranglers...those tight Wranglers. And those western shirts with pearl snaps...love the sound they make when you rip open the shirt. GAWWWLY!
ReplyDeleteGot so flustered, I forgot to include my email:

LOL. Got it!
DeleteHmmm - don't think you want my top 10 list why I like cowboys - let's start with eyes, face, smile, chest, biceps, abs...getting lower - will stop now. :-)
ReplyDeleteBest of luck on the hop.
oh, don't stop!
DeleteI've always loved cowboys. Not sure if it's because of my love for horses, lol. When I was a kid, I'd ride around on my gallop-horse--a stick horse--chewing Big Red gum. I loved that gum because to me it was the gum cowboys chewed.
ReplyDeleteHere are a few reasons for why I love C.B's.
1) Horses
2) Their butts--the cowboys' butts, lol.
3) The way their jeans fit.
4) The callouses on their hands.
5) They way they ride--like they are one with their horse.
6) The relationship between most cowboys and their horses.
Yes, ma'am!!!
DeleteI tweeted.
ReplyDeleteThanks!!!
Delete1. Alpha male that works hard for what he wants.
ReplyDelete2. Any guy that cares for his animals most generally will care for his woman even more.
3. Hard worker...hard player.
4. Very protective of those they love.
5. Everybody looks better on a horse.
6. Appreciates a woman that knows how to cook.
7. Loves sitting at a campfire and staring at the stars.
8. Strong, muscle man.
9. Make for some great writing material.
10. Makes even better reading material.

Just to name a few.
Great list! Thank you!
DeleteI have always thought of a cowboy as one who worked hard, played hard, and loved hard. They always seemed to have a ruggedness to them that is primal in nature. I love it.

Good points!
DeleteHi D'Ann,
ReplyDeleteThank you for visiting my site earlier. What do women like about cowboys besides the top 10 traits you listed? Maybe it's their calm exterior but inside they are alert strategists. When I think about cowboys, I see Clint Eastwood in spaghetti westerns -- he was the calm before the storm, so controlled but when threatened he went in with a blaze, pistols firing off in both hands. Women like that cool surface and molten heat inside.

Great point! Love it!
DeleteI love your list, D'Ann! I think my list is very similar.
ReplyDeleteI'd only add hard working men who got their muscles from work not a gym.
Absolutely!
DeleteThanks for organizing this hop, Sara!
